The Wholesale Module is an optional add-on for your SimplePart site that allows approved customers to see real-time discounted pricing when browsing your parts website. These discounts are only visible to customers who have a Wholesale Login.
How customers request a wholesale account
Once the Wholesale Module is enabled, your website will display a Wholesale Login link in the site footer.
From this page, customers can either:
Log in (if they already have an approved account), or
Request a new wholesale account
When a customer requests an account, they’ll fill out a short form with their business and contact details. After submitting, their request will appear in your Control Panel under Customers > Wholesale Module.
Managing wholesale accounts
In the Wholesale Module screen, you’ll see two sections:
Pending Wholesale Accounts – requests awaiting approval
Current Wholesale Accounts – active, approved customers
You can click More Info for pending accounts or Account Details for existing accounts to view additional information.
Once a customer is approved and logs in, they’ll automatically see discounted pricing each time they visit your site.
Adjusting wholesale pricing
From the Account Details page, click Wholesale Pricing at the top of the screen to see the pricing setup for that customer.
To adjust pricing:
Click Edit
Choose a different Price Set from the dropdown menu
Click Update to save your changes
❗Note: The Price Sets that appear in this dropdown are created in the Pricing section under Settings in your Control Panel. You can edit or add new Price Sets there at any time.
Custom item pricing
The Wholesale Module also allows you to set custom pricing for specific items within individual wholesale accounts.
This is useful if, for example, you have an Independent Repair Facility (IRF) that frequently orders certain parts and you want to offer them special pricing.
To set custom pricing for an item:
In the Account Details view, click Custom Product Information
Enter the part number in the Edit Product field
Adjust the costMarkup value to set a markup on the product's cost.
Save your changes
💡Tip: We recommend editing the costMarkup rather than the actual cost to keep pricing consistent with your catalog setup.
Identifying wholesale orders
When viewing your Order History, wholesale orders are marked with a (W) next to them. This makes it easy to distinguish wholesale orders from retail ones at a glance.
