You may need to cancel orders for several reasons, including customer requests, duplicate orders, stock issues, or suspected fraud. Canceling orders accurately keeps your inventory, billing, and reporting up to date.
Before canceling an order
Check payment status: Confirm whether the customer has paid, whether payment is pending, or whether a refund is required
Confirm cancellation with the customer: Contact the customer if needed to verify their request
Review inventory impact: Make sure canceling the order correctly updates stock levels
How to cancel an order
Any order you are either unable to fulfill or choose not to fulfill can be cancelled in the Order Details tab in your Control Panel, under Order Status. Always be sure to select the most appropriate reason for the cancellation in the selection box.
⚠️ Important: Canceling an order does not automatically refund the customer. After canceling, make sure to void or refund the payment manually.

Notify the customer
Cancelled orders do not automatically trigger a customer notification. However, once a void or refund is processed, the customer will receive an automated email confirming that their refund has been issued. Funds are typically returned within 3–5 business days.
