Bulk editing shipping rates

Overview

The Mass Edit tab on the Shipping Rates page lets you increase or decrease all of your shipping rates at once by a set percentage. Use this when you need to adjust your rates across the board — for example, to account for a carrier rate increase — without updating each rate individually.

⚠️ Important: There is no undo or revert option after applying a mass edit. Review the preview carefully before confirming. If you want to test this, make a note of your current rates first.

Before you begin

• You need access to the Shipping Rates page in the Control Panel
• Confirm the percentage change you want to apply before starting
• If you only want to update rates for a specific state, have that state ready to select

Steps

1. Log in to your SimplePart Control Panel at secure.simplepart.com
2. Navigate to Shipping Rates (shippingRates.aspx)
3. Select the Mass Edit tab
4. Enter the percentage you want to apply in the percentage field
   • Enter a positive number to increase rates (e.g., 10 for a 10% increase)
   • Enter a negative number to decrease rates (e.g., -5 for a 5% decrease)
5. Optional: Select a specific state from the state filter if you only want to adjust rates for that state. Leave the filter blank or select All states to apply the change to all shipping rates
6. Click Preview Changes
   • A modal will appear showing your current shipping costs alongside the new calculated costs
7. Review the before and after amounts carefully
8. If the preview looks correct, click Confirm and Apply
   • If you want to make changes, close the modal and adjust your inputs before previewing again

What to expect

After clicking Confirm and Apply, your shipping rates will update immediately. The Shipping Rates page will reflect the new amounts. There is no confirmation email sent for this action.

Troubleshooting

• The preview modal is showing unexpected numbers
  • Double-check whether you entered the percentage as a whole number (e.g., 10) rather than a decimal (e.g., 0.10). The field expects a whole number percentage.
• I applied the wrong percentage 
  • There is no automated revert. You will need to run another mass edit to correct the rates, or manually update individual rates. Contact SimplePart Support if you need assistance recovering your previous rate configuration.
• I only want to update one state but the filter isn't working
  • Confirm you selected the state from the dropdown before clicking Preview. If the issue persists, submit a support request.
