If you have received either an email notice from SimplePart or a notice in the Control Panel that your DNS records need to be updated, please review this article. If you have not received a notice, your website does not need to be updated.
To keep your SimplePart website secure, reliable, and PCI-compliant, we’re upgrading underlying infrastructure that requires a small DNS update. These changes must be made by Friday, January 9, 2026 to avoid any impact to your site or checkout.
Your required update depends on whether your site uses a subdomain or a root domain.
If you are unsure, or need confirmation of the specific domain(s) and CNAME values assigned to your account, contact us at support@simplepart.com and we’ll provide your exact settings.
If your site uses a subdomain
Example: parts.example.com
Update the CNAME record to your new CNAME provided in the email we sent on December 9, 2025 titled "ATTN: Dec 22 deadline - Update your DNS."
If you did not receive this email, contact our Support team at support@simplepart.com, and we'll provide your new CNAME.
If your site uses a root domain
Example: www.example.com
You will need to update two records:
Root A Record →
72.28.104.100www. CNAME → your new CNAME provided in the email we sent on December 9, 2025 titled "ATTN: Dec 22 deadline - Update your DNS." If you did not receive this email, contact our Support team at support@simplepart.com.
If your DNS provider supports ANAME or ALIAS, point the root directly to your new CNAME provided in the email we sent on December 9, 2025 titled "ATTN: Dec 22 deadline - Update your DNS."
If you did not receive this email, contact our Support team at support@simplepart.com, and we'll provide your new CNAME.

Maintains PCI compliance (SimplePart is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified)
Adds stronger security and reliability through Cloudflare
Prevents issues with checkout, ordering, or site uptime
After your update
